St. Thomas' new way to stimulate brains in the library

I'd call it multitasking, but it looks like the University of St. Thomas calls it a potentially effective way to study.

In its new library is The Walkstation, a treadmill students can use while they're doing academic work.

Library Director Dan Gjelten tells TommieMedia:

“The idea is that activity enhances brain function. Reading, studying, and even writing while moving improves the quality of work that you’re doing.”

Student response to the Walkstation has been mixed, Gjelten said.
